The fee for the 2-day workshop is $300.00 plus supplies ($30)
The curriculum for beginners includes:
How to prepare the wood/support and apply the wax
How to use the various tools and equipment
How to start a painting from scratch and add layers
How to create the look of smooth tile or create texture
Self expression through collaging, stencil, stamps: overview of materials you can use and techniques
Intaglio and relief

Encaustic is a 5000-years old technique that allows for endless innovation and creativity. Bring an apron, gloves, work shoes, lunch, and most of all, a desire to explore and have fun!

Photoencaustic workshop for photographers.
The newest trend in photography is its enrichment and manipulation with the centuries-old medium of encaustic. Learn the basics of encaustics plus how to apply it to photography; collage, transfers, and a variety of ways to enrich your photos.

OIL PAINTING CLASSES
Oil painting classes for Beginners and Intemediate levels are also offered on an ongoing basis. Instruction is customized to student's needs and goals.
Fees are $20/hour for a three hour class, once weekly. No more than three students per class ensure individualized attention. I have thirty-plus years experience in oil painting in a variety of techniques, from Old Masters to Contemporary and Mixed Media and have been teaching for over 15 years.
CREATIVITY CLASSES
"Where Meditation Meets Art"
In this workshop you will undertake a profound journey of free-play and self-revelation through Art. You will experience first hand the flow of intuitive creation along with its potential for transformation, healing and insight. This 4-day workshop is also excellent for non-artists who feel stuck in any way. Personalized guidance given throughout the workshop. Fee for the four days is $415.00. Supplies included, except for paper and a couple of brushes. These will be specified upon registration.
