ENCAUSTIC WORKSHOP
For the summer schedule of the encaustic workshops please contact me. The hours are 10AM to 4PM. The fee for the 2-day workshop is $300.00 plus supplies ($30).
The curriculum for beginners includes:
How to prepare the wood/support and apply the wax
How to use the various tools and equipment
How to create the look of smooth tile
Self expression through collaging: overview of materials you can use
Drips, layers and textures
Intaglio, stamping and relief
and much, much more!
Advanced workshop available for students who have completed beginners workshop. Two-days instruction include: Monoprint, Image transfer, additional mark-making and collage techniques. Fees: $350 plus $30 for supplies.
Space is limited to three per class, thus ensuring individual attention.
Encaustic is a 5000-years old technique that allows for endless innovation and creativity. Bring an apron, gloves, work shoes and, most of all, a desire to explore and have fun!
OIL PAINTING CLASSES
Oil painting classes for Beginners and Intemediate levels are also offered on an ongoing basis.
Fees are $20/hour for a three hour class, once weekly. No more than three students per class allow for individualized attention and customized instruction.
CREATIVITY CLASSES
"Where Meditation Meets Art"
In this workshop you will undertake a profound journey of free-play and self-revelation through Art. You will experience first hand the flow of intuitive creation along with its potential for transformation, healing and insight. This 4-day workshop is also excellent for non-artists who feel stuck in any way. Personalized guidance available throughout the workshop. Fee for the four days is $420.00. Acrylics, pastels, pens, pencils, charcoals, etc. included. Bring your own paper and a couple of brushes, per specification upon registration.
